So I was turning one of my PC on the other day and it wouldn't turn on and then I smell burning. This is the 2nd Antec I had problems with. I need to get a decent PSU, anyone got a brand recommendation?

Antec... Used them 2x now

Antec... Used them 2x now never had an issue. You might want to make sure your not putting to much of a load on it. That alone can burn one up FAST! I tend buy one almost 2x more power then I need to make sure its work load is easy. That and make sure its on a surge protector/battery to keep out bad spikes from the power company/storms

I use a Corsair HX520 and

I use a Corsair HX520 and haven't had any problems with it. It has plenty of juice for my box, and modular cabling so no more messy extras in the case. It's also fairly quiet.

You can read up on it:

I've used Antec and PC Power

I've used Antec and PC Power and Cooling on 2 computers each. Both have been excellent. PC Power and Cooling are supposedly a bit more high quality and rugged, but are a bit more expensive also. Most brands tend to overrate their power generation capacity, but PC Power and Cooling has a more legit rating on theirs, I'd go with one of theirs.

Read up on PSU and found

Read up on PSU and found that most are re-branded from only a few manufactures and it seems Seasonic is one of the better ones and they make Corsair PSU so I went with the following:

In my years of building and

In my years of building and using computers, there is only one thing I can tell you about power supplies...they all fail eventually, no matter who makes them. Yes, some brands fail more consistently than others, but what makes all the difference between brands is whether or not the company offers a good warranty and if they will honor that warranty over the term.

As far as quality, I tend to steer towards brands I know. Yes, some Antec models fail on a regular basis, but some are rock-solid. Enermax has almost always been good for me, as well as ThermalTake. If you have the money to spare, I will second PC Power and Cooling, but also, Silverstone makes some of the best ones as well.

If you have any of the paperwork from when you purchased your Antec power supply, check to see if it might still be under warranty. You might have to pay for shipping, but in the end it will be cheaper than buying a new power supply.
