The Depths of my Star Trek Online addiction

It finally motivated me to order a new PC.

Intel i7 960 cpu - not the fastest, but still one of the short list for the top
12 gb of PC 1600 ram
a basic 1tb hard drive
2 ati HD5850 video cards. FIrst time for me doing multiple video cards
Also has a killer Xeno pro "gamer networking card" to offload networking from the cpu and a dedicated sound card for the same.

In theory this box should be ok for nearly as long as my current pc. (which is pushing 6 years)

I blame star trek online, Dragon Age, and Mass effect2 with a little blame aimed at the future release of Knights of the old republic online.
In other words, Cryptic studios and Bioware. (seems like Bioware is on a "great games rampage" of late)

In theory, today.

But most likely monday. And... I did get the lifetime subscription to STO to go with the shuttlecraft code from Geril and the collector's edition.

So... its pretty bad.

A smaller company that, as it turns out, is owned by Cyberpower PC.

According to the phone message I got, it should be here sometime today.

Also.... on the Start Trek front - although i did not see the option in open beta, I should be able to select constiution class (original) for a starting starship today in about 3 hours when the servers open for early start.

If that is the case, Lt Ozwyn will be the captain of the USS Enfield.

If it is a Miranda class or similiar vessel, it will be the USS Tokarev

Why?

Because for some crazy reason, I am thinking of using classic firearms names: Enfield, Webley, Sterling, Tokarev, Makarov, Kalishnikov, Mauser, Garand, Winchester. Optionals - the USS Samuel Colt, the USS Gaston Glock, the USS Uziel Gailil (check spelling there) USS John Moses Browning (has to be epic, that guy made too many great things)
