I played EQ 1 for a long time in a guild called Alliance of the Arcane! We wanted Alliance to be what Scarab is today, but circumstances prevented us from ever making it excellent.

Then one day we logged on to EQ and there were no more players in Alliance. Well it wasn't exactly one day. Everyone moved to on to different games. Mainly EQ 2 and WoW. My husband and I went on to EQ 2 for a while, but both got bored with it real fast.

We had a few friends playing WoW, mostly real life friends, but one friend that had talked us into joining Scarab on EQ2! Invictar had been on our cases since we joined EQ 2. He did nothing but praise the guild, and talk about how it was everything we had wanted in a guild.

When we came to WoW we did not realy intend to join a guild at all! The heartaches we had experienced trying to run our guild on EQ 1 had worn us out on guilds all together. Some of our RL friends were in talks of working out Alliance of the Arcane, but it feel through. Nothing ever came of it.

Invictar was still a close friend of ours at the time, so I asked him if the same offer still stood to join Scarab as the one in EQ 2. Scarab accepted us with open arms and friendly smiles. I fell right in line! I loved it. The people are friendly, and there is absolutely no pressure from anyone. It is as a guild should be!
