Sometimes our memories don't fit nicely into quaint little categories. Some would say this is good reason to forget them. Well, we have something to say about that...

Fast Reactions or Superman?

A day I will never forget so long as I live...

I met the Scarab crew for some food at a resteraunt (IHOP? Dennys?), don't remember which one or where it was. But as the merryment went on and it was time to depart we decided to have a group photo outside. After the photo I was going to help Fanarie by carrying the baby, in his car seat, to the car. But when I went to pick up the car seat by the handle, the handle was not in a locked position (I swear to god I thought it was!!). So rather then picking up the baby in the seat, it proceeded to start falling to the ground. I through my body risking life and limb (ok a minor scratch and maybe a bruise) to catch the baby and the seat before it reached the ground. Only Superman would have been able to catch that baby faster then me Smiling

I have 2 kids of my own now and this "baby catching" thing seems to be a trend. I fell down a flight of stairs with my oldest son Hunter. He never touched the floor Smiling My youngest, Austin, tried to "jump" of the bed... he never reached the ground! Is it me?

that was the first time I

that was the first time I ever met any Scarabs also, the summer before I moved to DC, I was here on interviews. And Tarkum was the 1st Scarab I ever met, he picked me up at Grovesnor metro stop and we went to Dave and Peg's house which at the time was in Gaithersburg. Back in 1999. Has it really been 7 years?? Shocked
