From the IC:
Submitted by Tonto Tenbears on Sun, 2008-03-09 23:47. PublicGreetings, friends!
The designation of Scarab Elder is beautiful thing. It is the moment at which our members go from being someone we game with to being truly welcomed as a trusted friend and family member. It is therefore not a position to be lightly requested or granted. Now, our guild has grown exponentially in the last couple of years due to our presence in the wildy popular World of Warcraft. For that reason our ranks have swollen to levels that those of us that have been around here for a year or two (or nine) couldn't have imagined back when we were taking our first baby steps in UO. And the ranks of Elder have grown at an enoromous rate as well. There is some question in my mind (yes, I take full responsibility) as to the lessening of value placed on this most sacred of designations.
Your new Inner Circle - No election required!
Submitted by Dolvin on Sat, 2007-06-16 17:47. PublicFirst of all, as always, I want to thank the members of Scarab who served on the Inner Circle over the last six months. Thank you for your continued efforts on Scarab's behalf!
Second, I want to introduce the members of the Inner Circle for the next six months. No election is required, as we did not reach 14 volunteers (which was the charter-mandated size for the IC).
In no particular order, they are:
Ozwyn
Maska
Jayfoot
Dolvin
Ludaman
Tontto
Nyalla
Geril
Skee
Kylen
Dias
Chipmunk
These members will take their places on 6/24 and any current IC members who are not returning will have their access revoked on 7/1. The new IC will elect from within their ranks an ICL to serve for the next term.

Should you have any problems logging in or registering, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is ixchael at guildscarab.com.
Our apologizes to our legitimate guests, but there was no way around this.

Ideal meal?
Submitted by Horamir on Thu, 2009-07-02 15:38. PublicIn the spirit of fourth of July festivities, If you could have the perfect meal, what would it be?
I'm easy to please and have very conventional, non-gourmet tastes: a pepperoni and sausage pizza from a really good pizzeria (there are several that fit the bill), a Coke or maybe some sort of orange pop, and for dessert, an apple pie "concrete" from Ted Drewes in St. Louis (preferably with some 2% milk to wash it down). Yoldie will back me up on TDs; if you are ever in St. Louis, check em out, they are the best.

Too good to be true?
Submitted by Urkgarr on Thu, 2009-06-18 23:48. PublicI been searching online to for a store that sells Adobe Creative Suite 4 for cheap. I found this store http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=4464064. It's $300 for a software package that cost around $1000. I email the seller asking if it's a scam, but he said everything is legit. Does anyone know a good online software discount store selling the CS4 for cheap?
Game Design anyone?
Submitted by Urkgarr on Tue, 2009-06-16 21:11. PublicI know most of you guys are avid gamers. But have you guys considered designing/making a game? I recently started making a puzzle game (one reason why I haven't come back to WoW) like Tetris for the Xbox Live community games using XNA. It's windows based for now. I plan to enter the game in the http://www.dreambuildplay.com contest first and see how it'll do. I also found a neat blog for game designers and the blogger does a prototyping challenge and gives out free art, http://lostgarden.com/labels/prototyping%20challenge.html. If anyone is interested, please PM me and maybe we can cook up something.
we deffinately live in TX

If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of Dallas f or the weekend, you may live in Texas (SCARABFEST!!!)
If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas
If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Texas
If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas
If you find 60 degrees 'a little chilly,' you may live in Texas ;
If you actually understand these jokes, and share them with all your Texas friends, you definitely live in Texas or at one time or another lived in Texas or have or had Texas friends.
